TWISTED US garage done the New York way from DJ Dove, with a fine example
of all that’s best on that side of the pond at the moment.
Here Dove delves into the more melodic side of the New York sound, delivering a tune which is just that. It’s reminiscent of something Farley and Heller might come up with, and while it’s not a happy clapper disco anthem, many a sun soaked Balearic patio will benefit from this.
The original mix, tweaked by Junior Sanchez, provides the twisted disco feel, while MN2S come up with the funkier bassline driven cut, with a deep house version provided by Ralph Lawson. This is the third release on the Milk N 2 Sugars Recordings label – a name which has already built up massive respect with its weekly Friday nights at the Annexe in Soho. Perfect for those balmy summer evenings.
