One of 2005 and 2006′s biggest underground club tracks gets the soulful remix treatment courtesy of Soularis and Warren Clarke; crossing over from 1Trax to MN2S in early 2007! Following its original release on MN2S’s sister label 1Trax in 2005, ‘A New Reality’ became one of the year’s most successful underground club hits, receiving support from the industry’s top DJ-producers. Toolroom Records’ Mark Knight, production partner Martijn Ten Velden and E-Man had combined to produce a banging spoken-word stomper that got bigger and bigger as the year went on!
The hype continued; earlier this year, the single was given a new lease of life courtesy of tight remixes by Front Room Recordings’ Jesse Rose and emerging Swedish producer John Dahlback. Released on 1Trax in August 2006, ‘A New Reality’ he remixes received extensive chart support and solidified the track’s rapidly growing status as a modern day club classic.
To date it has been licensed to several high-profile compilations, including Defected’s 2005 Eivissa album, Seamless Recordings’ acclaimed Whitehouse In Residence’ compilation and, most recently, Global Underground’s forthcoming mix, on which the ‘A New Reality’ accapella starts proceedings!
Now, by popular demand, ‘A New Reality’ has been remixed by DJ-producers Soularis and Warren Clarke and will be released on MN2S in early 2007!
As both a solo artist and as one half of acclaimed production duo the Lab Rats alongside Onephatdeeva front man ATFC, Warren Clarke has been a mainstay on the international house scene for well over a decade. He has released a steady stream of well-received original productions and remixes on labels including Subliminal, Slip ‘n’ Slide, Fluential, Defected, Toolroom Trax, Cassagrande and Eye Industries, and is widely regarded as one of the most exciting and consistent DJ-producers in the world. His mix is a bumpy affair, with that perfect dose of soulfulness sure to please!
Jonathan Dunn better known as production duo Soularis has enjoyed much success in recent years on the back of his productions on labels including Seamless, Ultra Records and Guidance. He has remixed artists including Liberty X, Boyz II Men and Elements Of Soul and is no stranger to the MN2S camp, having earlier this year remixed Timmy Vegas and Barbara Tucker’s 2006 WMC and Ibiza anthem ‘Dutty Funk (We Can Do)’. True to form, the Soularis mix of ‘A New Reality’ is soulful, sensual, slightly hypnotic and, above all, extremely danceable, and is sure to take this massive single even further skyward!
