MN2S continue their release pressure with another hot track courtesy of US stalwart George Morel and Italian born vocalist Romina Johnson. A top quality production, a classy top line and a strong remix package combine to make this release one that deserves maximum attention.

Miami based George Morel has an illustrious and successful discography stretching back almost 20 years. During a 7 year stint at Strictly Rhythm records George worked alongside the likes of Mood 2 Swing, Felix Da Housecat, Erick Morillo, Sandy Rivera (K.O.T.) , DJ Pierre, Roy Davis Jr., Barbara Tucker, CeCe Rogers, Roland Clark and Ultra Nate. Earlier in his career the relationships he forged with 2 In A Room, C&C Music Factory, Mariah Carey and Lisa Lisa resulted in several gold records and one platinum record.

The talented Romina Johnson is also no stranger to success. Most recognized as the vocalist on Artful Dodger’s classic ‘Movin’ Too Fast’ in 2000 – a record that hit #2 in the UK sales chart – Romina has worked with a host of the industries most respected artists. First hitting the underground house scene with a performance on ‘Dancin’ With You’ by Bini & Martini , Romina has regularly performed throughout the UK and Europe and has most recently been working with the likes of D-Influence, Omar, Angie Stone and Terri Walker.

Morels ‘Classic Mix’ blends rolling beats alongside smooth chords and a thundering bassline while Romina’s heart felt vocal take center stage. Morel’s Groove Mix’ delivers a slightly darker take while, JJK and Olav Basoski weigh in with some heavy dub based interpretations.

Following on from the acclaimed ‘Astartė EP’, which has burning up dance floors all summer, Dan Liquid and Dan Nu:tone are back. Once again displaying their strong and varied production style, ‘Truth Is’ comes with two mixes from Danism and is backed up by a super strong mix courtesy of Groove Junkies.

Continuing the rich vein of form that has seen a series of commended releases drop on MN2S, Danism move forward with ‘Truth Is’ which is yet another essential package. ‘Truth Is’ features the crisp, bouncy beats that have long been a Danism trademark coupled with a deep groovy bass line and sweet chord progressions that perfectly complement Xavier’s vocal performance. The Dub Mix moves in a slightly darker direction; stripping back the production and using deeper elements and vocal stabs to maximum effect.

Backing up the two Danism mixes, L.A. based production duo Groove Junkies weigh in with a stunning re-work. Implementing a pumping groove and a whole host of additional production, GJs utilise the original vocal in conjunction with new spoken word elements as well as introducing some well layered and varied instrumentation. The GJs most definitely give ‘Truth Is’ the bona fide US mix treatment.

‘We’ve looked to move forward with our sound and put out a main room record with a full vocal,’ says Dan Liquid. ‘A couple of our previous cuts have been aimed at the peak-time but we wanted to bring a vocal in there too. This has really been working for us on our travels to Ibiza and all over the world. Parrish and Evan (Groove Junkies) have really done the business on the remix!!’

In addition to ‘Truth Is’ and their consistent output for MN2S the Liquid People Collective of Dan Liquid, Conan Liquid and Dan Nu:tone have two new singles lined up for release on Defected and various other projects currently doing the business for Slip ‘N’ Slide, Tony Records, MoreHouse and Z Records.
