Hold On

Monday, October 20th, 2008

MN2S are proud to unveil their latest release from Marlon D featuring Max C. This chord driven track is complemented perfectly by the uplifting vocals of Max C, the infamous voice behind last years summer smash hit “I Found You” by Axwell.

Marlon D’s influences range far and wide from seeing classic DJs such as Junior Vasquez, Timmy Regisford, Tony Humphries in the early 90’s to listening to Lil Louie Vega and David Morales on the radio. Today he is part of ‘Underground Collective’ and owner of ‘Underground Collective Recordings’. One of the best parties in New York City as well as Independent record label targeting a deep, soulful, classy, party atmosphere type of sound.

Max’C's latest project with hit Producer Axwell has produced one of the anthems of Ibiza 07 by the name of “I Found You”. Its popularity in Ibiza spread across Europe and all over making Max’C one of the most in demand vocalists around. When he is not performing, Max’C can be found in the studio writing and recording for his upcoming album.

The package includes the Vocal Mix featuring deep beats with a masterful vocal. The Street Dub reveals a more stripped down gem with a slight tribal element, whilst Drumz goes back to basics revealing the bare bones of this hypnotic track.

Hauswerks EP

Monday, October 13th, 2008

London-based house imprint 1Trax maintains upfront pressure delivering yet another boundary-pushing release in the form of this Hauswerks EP.

Hauswerks, aka Colin Barratt has been producing dance music for over eight years and this is clearly demonstrated in the quality of product he supplies, both in the studio and behind the decks. Hauswerks productions play a big part in his recent success,, his signature techy beats and groovin basslines have grabbed the attention of many key DJ’s. With releases and remix requests on a number of various labels including Ministry Of Sound (Data), Berwick street records, Swedish label ‘Jack Moves’, John Aquaviva’s ‘Definitive’ label, MN2S and Toxik, to name a few.

The EP consists of three deep house tracks; Black Bug, Mundo Entero and Shake It. In a fusion of trance, electro and minimal the sound is typical of the route 1Trax is taking at the moment. The production captures elements of the underground vibe which is sweeping the nation at the moment whilst remaining bouncy and lighthearted.

Hauswerks is definitely a name to watch this year, his fresh approach to the deeper side of house is a breath of fresh air and will have techno fans everywhere heading to the floor.

Afterdark EP III

Monday, October 6th, 2008

MN2S are proud to present ‘Afterdark EP III’ by Danism. Having released a catalogue of hugely successful tracks on MN2S this year alone Danism can’t seem to stop scoring. The recently promo-ed Strike is set to be a massive smash, initially promoted in Miami, it has gained widespread club support, massive backing from Pete Tong on the ‘Essential Selection’, is receiving support from Martin Solveig, Fedde Le Grand, The Shapeshifters and CJ Mackintosh and has received the remix treatment from Mike Gray and Nick ‘Bodyrox’ Bridges.

Danism are Dan Liquid and Dan Nu:Tone, together they form a production team that is synonymous with a high a quality and innovative production sound.
In addition to their output for MN2S, Danism have released material on labels such as Slip & Slide, Defected and Tony Records. They remixed Soul Central’s ‘Strings Of Life’ in 2004, and have more recently remixed the likes of Blaze (Slip ‘N’ Slide), Groove Junkies (MoreHouse) and Lisa Millett (Code Red). With further remixes forthcoming on Nocturnal Groove as well as original productions already lined up for release on MN2S, Danism are going from strength to strength and are set to maintain a high profile throughout 2008 and beyond.

‘Afterdark EP III’ includes three tracks titled ‘The Jungle’, ‘The Deep’ and ‘She’, collectively they encapsulate the character of Ibiza 2008. Inspired by the mood and ambience of the White Isle this season Danism have produced the perfect summary of rhythms that have seen clubs jumping and early morning terraces swaying.

‘The Jungle’, the opening track on the EP is the main room bass driven track which was originally previewed on the largely successful MN2S Ibiza CD mixed by Danism. Whilst ‘Jungle’ recapitulates the atmosphere at the super club openings ‘She’ is more about the after party vibe notorious of Ibiza, it’s stringy, deep and extraordinarily chilled, perfect for the terrace. Last but not least The Deep is an altogether quirkier piece of work which has seen huge clubs going off as well as more intimate sets.

Danism have been playing snippets of this brilliant EP all summer but have kept it under wraps until now. Don’t miss this refreshingly honest slice of Ibiza 2008.
