Hauswerks EP II

Monday, February 9th, 2009

London-based 1Trax continue the weekly assault and present a new release from label favorite Hauswerks.

Our relationship with Hauswerks has grown significantly over the last year. 1trax presented his first EP back in November 2008 with his tracks “Black Bug”, “Mundo Entero” & “Shake It”. The response was immediate so the label wasted no time in signing an exclusive single deal with Hausweks and in winter ‘08 the excellent “Twisted” was delivered to our office. The promos of “Twisted” have caused quite a storm and heavy weights such as Pete Tong, Franck Roger, Laurent Garnier, John Acquavia, and Tom Novy have all shown their support for the exceptional package.

Wasting no time 1trax continue the pressure and release Hauswerks follow up EP. With two new tracks “Dream Snatcher” & “Dig Deep” we’re sure this will be yet another underground hit. With his signature techy beats and groovin’ basslines both tracks are another winner from the 1trax label !

Twisted

London-based house imprint 1Trax continues the pressure and delivers another boundary-pushing release in the form of this Hauswerks production.

Hauswerks has been producing dance music for over eight years and this is clearly demonstrated in the quality of product he supplies, both in the studio and behind the decks. Hauswerks productions play a big part in his recent success, his signature techy beats and groovin basslines have grabbed the attention of many key DJ’s. Releases and remix requests have featured on a number of labels including Ministry Of Sound (Data), John Aquaviva’s ‘Definitive’ label and of course MN2S !

Hauswerks is definitely a name to watch this year, his fresh approach to the deeper side of house is a breath of fresh air and will have techno fans everywhere heading to the floor. His production “Twisted” is full of energy and keeps the pressure on from beginning to end.

For this package our first remix comes from Adam Shaw. With several releases already under his belt Adam’s productions have seen major support from the likes of Pete Tong, Dubfire, John Digweed and Nic Fanciulli amongst others. When we heard Adam’s latest release “Six Degrees” at the 1TRAX office, it wasn’t just our A&R manager who took notice but everybody within ear shot ! The result ? We were straight on the phone to ask Adam to remix “Twisted” and his interpretation like “Six Degrees” is superb. The remix is a lesson in how to make a deep house record, Adam has delivered a killer production that DJs and dancers are gonna go crazy for.

As if Adam Shaw’s remix wasn’t enough we’ve asked Shusi Kajeda to add his studio skills to the remix package of “Twisted”. As a newcomer to the scene we’re proud to have been one of the first labels to have picked up on Sushi’s productions skills. Remixing “Twisted” he produces a straight up underground house smash. The Spaniard might be new to the scene but he’s definitely one to watch !!

Thankful

MN2S are very proud to present the latest works from the Funky Soldiers. ‘Funky Soldiers’ are Rob H and Mr Marlow who are based in West London. As relative newcomers to the scene they have quickly established themselves with their trademark productions and remixes. Ministry of Sound recently commissioned the Funky Soldiers to remix Chanel’s “Dance” resulting in a massive club smash that is still getting airplay into 2009. Their sister label Hed Kandi also jumped on board and bought the pair in to remix Holland’s A List DJ Lucien Fort adding their soulful sounds to his track “The Shame”.

MN2S first took note of the Funky Soldiers in 2008 and commissioned the pair to remix Justin’s Michael’s “Take Me To The Sky” which then went on to sit high on the Traxsource chart for several weeks. As a result MN2S commissioned their first single for the label in the shape of “Thankful”.

The original track is a US garage inspired anthem and with Kaysee providing the vocals she brings a colourful sound to the production. They back up the release with an instrumental of the original and also provide 2 dub versions of the track.

Additional remixes come from Guy Robin, a talented 19 year old from London. At such a young age his productions have already found their ways into the hands of Tony Humphries and Timmy Regisford to name but a few. His classic soulful sound makes sure this remix package is another not to miss MN2S release.
