Hanna Hais

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

In 2005 Hanna Haïs released her first album ‘Rosanova’, which included tracks produced by Matthias Heilbronn, Sergio Flores, Ralf Gum, Mikael Delta, and Larry Heard. Following its release in Europe, the album was released all over Asia (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, India) and in the USA. “Rosanova” reached #2 in the dance charts in Japan, and Hanna toured extensively in the Far East during the summer of 2006 to promote her album.

The single ‘Rosa Nova’ was picked up by Defected and her follow-up single ‘Jazz Samba’, with an amazing Ian Carey remix, went straight to #1 on Traxsource. Following ‘Rosa Nova’, Defected released another single ‘Ta Reine’, which was remixed by Jamie Lewis and DJ Pierre. Again it went straight to #1 on Traxsource.

Hanna Haïs’ tracks have been included on some of the most important and best-selling compilations in recent years including ‘Defected Ibiza In The House’, ‘Defected Miami In The House’, ‘Masters At Work’, ‘Hed Kandi’, ‘Buzzin Fly’, ‘Ultra’ and ‘Cirque du Soleil’.

In 2009 Hanna Haïs released her second album ‘Love Paradise’. Recorded in France, Switzerland, Brazil, Spain, Germany and Italy, it was produced by Jamie Lewis, Ian Carey, Ralf Gum, DJ Memê, Dutty Boyz and Alfred Azzetto.

This album was more dancefloor oriented than ‘Rosanova’. Here Hanna explores new territories while still pleasing her fan base with House music that is both deep and sensual.

2011 was a busy year for Hanna Haïs, with a huge tour in Latin America, an end of year tour in Asia and 5 new singles: ‘Ka Donké’, ‘Kimayo’, ‘Viva La Diva’, ‘Le Déclic’, ‘Édouard’. Hanna Haïs is currently working on her third solo album.

Since 2007 Hanna Haïs has been DJing professionally, touring the entire world (Europe, Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Far East, India, Latin America, South Africa, West Africa, North Africa), delivering her own style of House music and singing her own tunes to her devoted fans. Her ability to connect with them is nothing short of awe inspiring. Always ready to push new boundaries, Hanna Haïs’ DJ sets are nothing short of magical….

Jamelia Live PA – Now Booking 2010 dates

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

Jamelia is one of Britain’s most successful black female entertainers. Her career has spanned over ten years after being signed straight out of school at 15 to one of the biggest major record companies in the world.

In 2004, she had three top 5 hits from her last album “Thank You” – the seminal “Superstar” (no 3), “Thank You” ( no 2) and her co-write with Chris Martin, “See It In A Boy’s Eyes”, which reached No 5. Incredibly, Jamelia then stormed the top 10 again with “Stop”, her theme for the second Bridget Jones film.

At this point she was unstoppable, one of the most successful solo artists in the country. Her UK success was emulated in Europe where she was a continual serious chart presence, and in Australia and New Zealand where she reached No 1.

This triumphant period in Jamelia’s career also saw her sweep the board at the MOBO awards, where she won all of her three nominated awards, including “Best UK Act”. A week later no less a figure than Bono was genuflecting to her at the Q awards, where she won “Best Single” for ‘See It In A Boy’s Eyes’. Coupled with words of high praise at the same event from Elton John, you could have been forgiven for thinking things couldn’t get much better. But a week later Jamelia was signed by the prestigious modelling agency ICM and swiftly got her first contract as the face/legs of Pretty Polly and also a high profile contract with Reebok.

More recently Jamelia has earned the coveted role of appearing along side two of the world biggest supermodels fronting her own ethnic haircare range ‘Model Me’ stocked nationwide in Boots stores – and will this year be launching her autobiography following her turbulent childhood, abuse relationships and family controversy, which in spite of has led to her rise to fame.

Creatively Jamelia has been focussing on developing her acting skills and is choosing her next role carefully in advance of her debut performance and is currently in the studio this time developing her writing and production skills in the hope to give unknown artists the benefit of her experience.

DanceMusicHub.com launch Touch DJ app for iPhone

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

Amidio and DanceMusicHub.com are proud to announce Touch DJ, a new professional DJ software package available for iPhone and iPod touch users. Touch DJ was launched in the app store on 18/11/09 and is already being touted as a package that will revolutionise the way a deejay mixes. Touch DJ is the result of a partnership between Russian development company Amidio and Australia’s DanceMusicHub.com.

Touch DJ is the first full-featured DJ MP3 application on the iPhone platform. Touch DJ offers real-time independent manipulation of two MP3 files. By manipulating the graphic display of the track waveforms next to each other allows the user to mix visually. Scratching, looping, positioning, equalization, effects and pitching is made easy with the futuristic, user-friendly interface. These features, combined with Touch DJ’s highly advanced zero-latency sound engine deliver results comparable to that of professional DJ hardware worth over $1000!

Replacing headphones with technology that enables the visual cueing of tracks means the audio output on the iPhone and iPod Touch can be used to plug into sound systems. This means Touch DJ is arguably the world’s most portable DJ console and music library. And for traditional DJ’s who prefer cueing with headphones, simultaneous mixing and sound amplification can be achieved with the use of a splitting adapter.

As a bonus, Touch DJ is shipped with 25 new release dance tracks so it can be used immediately after download. DanceMusicHub added an international flavour to the app by licensing tracks from a variety of emerging labels from across the globe. Labels including MUM (UK), Discotheque Records (Brazil), Savant Garde (USA), Denim (Australia), MN2S (UK), Be Yourself (NL), Berwick St (UK), Tornato (Australia), Velcro (Australia) have conveniently provided tracks from artists such as Marco V, Sandy Riviera, Darren Mase and Timo Garcia, To encourage sharing of skills and technique at a central location, there’s a community website at www.dancemusichub.com where users can upload there mixes as well as comment on others. Comments from customers include: “1 of the Best apps on ITunes”, “I would have spent more $”, “A must have for any DJ”, “Awesome in every way”, “Buy it”.

Touch DJ is a technological breakthrough and is pushing the limits of the hardware technology on which it is used.

Touch DJ is available at the AppStore worldwide for USD $19.99

Egypt

Friday, November 20th, 2009

Egypt comes from a musical family of singers and musicians and began writing at the age of twelve. Her musical inspirations came from experiences she learnt from life and friends, while growing up listening to the great sounds of Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Gladys Knight and the Pips and the Chil’lites. Collectively they moulded and influenced her tone of voice to the sound she portrays today.

Throughout her teen years she performed at various shows; one show in particular involved a production company called Hitroom where she wrote numerous songs and performed them live, and shared the stage with Lemar amongst other great talents. After the success of the show she pioneered a special vocal project at the Digital Arts Centre (DAC) and produced a single entitled You Know.

It was around this time that she began listening to Lauryn Hill who inspired her immensely and allowed her to really find herself vocally. At eighteen she auditioned to become lead singer of a group; together they supported American Artists - Jaheim and Kelly Price – and it was a great experience. Although being in a group was enjoyable she soon realized she wanted to become a solo artist in order to illustrate her true persona, Egypt.

Since launching her solo career in 2000 she has developed her song-writing skills and has worked with the likes of Samson, whom she recorded the tracks Give Me A Chance and It’s Over, as well as produced the works Destiny, Lovin Someone and The Road, making the tracks ‘Hold Your Head’, ‘You Build Me Up’, ‘In The Morning’ and most recently ‘Stronger’ – a soulful house banger made with DJ Pioneer recieving great Radio 1xtra support.

On top of that, Egypt has collaborated with J Reel, together producing the track Love Thang. Egypt’s vocal and performance experiences have strengthened her belief that, if given the platform to show her greatness she will prove to be the long awaited soul inspiration that the British public has been waiting for.

Boy George

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Boy George is universally recognised as one of the music scenes biggest artists and for the past 30 years has maintained a strong position at the forefront of this ever-changing, multi-faceted industry. Attracting high praise from the likes of Mixmag, DJ Magazine and MTV as having gained truly global recognition, the Grammy-nominated singer has created a worldwide presence that transcends age, race, nationality and even religion.

From the millions of records he sold as performer and songwriter with 80’s super group Culture Club to maintaining his position as one of the worlds most successful and in-demand international DJs, George proves he has it. George’s list of achievements is unparalleled in dance circles, having to-date been a national newspaper columnist for the Daily Express, author of two bestselling autobiographies, been the co-producer, songwriter and on-stage star of the award-winning musical Taboo on both New York’s Broadway and London’s West End.

He is the creator of his own B-Rude fashion label with outlets in New York, Los Angeles and London, as well as still maintaining an elite membership to the worlds designer fashion hierarchy – DJ-ing regularly at post catwalk shows such as Versace, Phillip Treacy and more recently Hugo Boss.

A professional DJ since the late 70’s, Boy George has had a long and successful career associated with house music stemming from early acid house and Chicago grooves in the 80’s, through to electro and tech house in the 90’s and 00’s. Maintaining a constant tour schedule, he’s notched up hundreds of thousands of air miles and taken in destinations from the snow capped mountains of Vancouver to the golden sun-kissed sands of Bondi beach.

Ever the skilled superstar, his travels have seen him pack out events in over 70 countries around the world, from super-brands in Godskitchen, Cream, Manumission and Spundae to global powerhouse venues like Ministry of Sound (London), Zouk (Singapore) and Guvernment (Toronto). Additionally his name has been a prominent figure at many of the world’s leading festivals including Homelands, Big Gay Out and V Festival.

A standout producer in his own right with tracks such as Generations of Love and When Will You Learn, his productions over the years have been released under imprints such as Ministry of Sound, Sony, Hed Kandi, Universal and featured on compilations as varied as Global Underground, Bedrock and Chill Out Ibiza. His impressive list of collaborations stands equally tall with George having worked with dance heavyweights such as Erick Morillo, Jeremy Healy, Deep Dish, Rui Da Silva, Afrika Bambaataa and Faithless.

Alongside Radio 1 veteran Pete Tong, he helped launch Ministry of Sound’s flagship compilation album The Annual. The album went on to sell over 200,000 copies and was the catalyst to the now-global label. Other compilations to his name include Galaxy Weekender, Dance Nation as well as another two The Annual albums followed, this time with another longstanding Radio 1 jock – Judge Jules.

With a long list of guest slots on radio stations such as Radio 1, Kiss FM, Sirius and Galaxy; where he hosted his own radio show for two years, George has also featured heavily on TV shows around the world with appearances on programmes like BBC 1 Jonathan Ross, MTV Cribs, Brit Awards, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, CNN and VH1.

Although in recent years (in the UK at least), the media spotlight has fallen too much on George’s iconic media status and not enough on an ever-expanding and prolific musical output, his presence in the music industry still remains a series of headline-making stories with notable publications such as Rolling Stones, Q Magazine, The Guardian and New York Times all following his career with great zeal.

Inna

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Alexandra, using the surname Inna, is a 22 year-old singer from Neptun (Black Sea Coast – Romania) who vows that music is her strongest passion.

Advised by her family who recognized her talent at an early age, Inna began to sing and has been taking canto lessons for eight years, but soon wished to broaden her knowledge and decided to explore the world of numbers and eventually graduated from the Economical high-school in Constanta and the Political Sciences College.

Inna’s first single Hot (2009) has been produced by the three talented guys from Play & Win (Radu Bolfea, Sebastian Barac, Marcel Botezan). By now, it’s common knowledge that the single has registered great success; the rating measurement system developed by Nielsen Media Research shows that Hot is the most broadcasted musical product as we speak, being supported by radio stations and music televisions.

Even before the radios had the opportunity to play the song, it had already collected over ten thousands views on YouTube in just a few weeks. The single has two video clips, with two different scripts. While the first one unfolds a story, the second one is more of an image video clip in which Inna tries on different – very sexy – looks.

Inna is the new revelation of the Romanian club music as her song smashed the music charts short time after its release. After the single Hot stayed two weeks #1 in NAC, the “Inna fever” overran Europe being broadcasted in Russia, Poland, Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovakia, Greece, Belgium, Netherlands and still counting. Short time after, none other but the most important independent producer in US showed his interest in Inna’s project, consequently signing a major record deal.

She released her second single Love in 2010, which quickly reached Nielsen Chart’s Top 10. The track climbed very fast in the Romanian and international music charts, threatening the first position and proving that Inna is more than a one-time hit. The success of Love was completed by the video, shot in slow motion, and presents the battle between good and evil; Inna and her music making the connection between the two elements.

2010 proved to be a very busy year for Inna as she released multiple hit singles such as 10 Minutes, Déjà Vu featuring Bob Taylor and Amazing. 2011 was no less productive as she provided the dance scene with several more including Club Rocker featuring Flo Rida, Sun Is Up and Un Momento.

With such an impressive and extensive discography already within her two-years in the music industry, one can only dream of what more is to come.
