Ahead of his performance at the London 2012 Olympics, the BBC has hosted an interview with Usain Bolt.
Bolt, who was the Jamaican flag-bearer at the Opening Ceremony has now overcome injuries and is set to defend his title. The world record holder and three-time Olympic medalist has been training with Yohan Blake and has also been struggling with back and hamstring problems. He hinted that he is going for gold by running in the 4x400m relay and the 4x100m.
Outside of athletics Bolt is the face of Virgin, Puma and has DJed in front of large crowds in Paris as he is a huge music lover. Nicknames include The Lightning Bolt and Bolt From the Blue given Usain’s killer acceleration ability, whilst he’s also said in the past he would like to play for Manchester United upon retirement from spiriting.
