‘Funtime’ Frankie Gavin, as he is known in the game, can bring some real sporting celebrity fun to your event or function and can talk with ease about what it takes to make it in the tough world of boxing. So too can he inspire and motivate young as well as old people with his tales of rising to the top of British boxing. Coming from Birmingham, Frankie was a keen amateur who won the gold medal at the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships. This honoured him with the prestigious title of being the first ever World Amateur champion from Britain.

Having turned pro in 2008 and after becoming a key part of Frank Warren’s impressive boxing stable, Frankie is still an exciting and enthralling light-welterweight boxer who has continued to excel as he did as an amateur. The 24-year-old – who is trained by Anthony Farnell in Manchester – has been given the nickname he has owing to Frankie’s love of pranks, it is reported.

Frankie is a skilled and hard-hitting box-puncher who is still very much a bright hope for big things in the future. As such he makes a perfect choice for any after dinner event where he can answer questions as well as offer key insights into his life and sport.
