Henry Olonga

The beginning of Henry’s life was spent growing up in Kenya and Zambia before his parents took him to Zimbabwe in 1981, shortly after the country had gained independence.

A keen player of all sorts of sports, Henry actually dreamt as a kid that he would represent Kenya in the Olympics, however when Zimbabwe gained test cricket status they need a pacey bowler and Henry, with great speed and athleticism, was a perfect fit. His debut came in 1995 and was the youngest player at that time, as well as being the first black player to represent Zimbabwe. Henry played a vital role in his country winning their first test match. He is also a keen public speaker and musician gifted with a tenor voice. As such, Henry has released three full studio albums of contemporary pop and also enjoys photography, and some day hopes to make and release his own feature film.
