Danielle Proud

Should you be looking for a celebrity face to light up your event of function, Danielle Proud is a great choice given her already high media profile. Proud is an interior designer, craft expert and design writer who is the Creative Director of her own The Proud Group, which aims to develop inspired concepts and high end, lush refurbishments throughout the whole of the UK.

To date the jobs she has worked on range from kitting out live music venues to refurbishing country manors, super en vogue bars and night clubs, residential castles and, most recently, The Proud Group was responsible for finishing London’s huge music venue, Proud2, at London’s O2 Arena in North Greenwich. It was fashion at Central St Martin’s that Danielle studied as a student, completing her degree before going on to become Head Designer at BIBA, with a short period sewing hats for design doyenne Vivienne Westwood in between. Interior design is her true passion, though, something that is said to have started when Proud began writing a “How To” interior style column for The Guardian Weekend Magazine in 2004, whilst she also continues to contribute to The Sunday Times Style Magazine.

Current Proud projects include working on the new Land Rover Evoque campaign, designing a luxury wallpaper line for Graham and converting an old listed building in Brighton into luxury flats.
