Eddie Thoneick

Eddie Thoneick

The name Eddie Thoneick is synonymous with slamming, high octane house music

Eddie’s slamming beats, tight programming and highly charged musical arrangements manage to deliver on both dancefloor and commercial radio station alike.

Eddie started his DJ career at the Tribehouse in Neuss in ‘93. Exciting times in Germany for house music in the five years of 93 to 98! Eddie played with the worlds bigegst djs. In ‘98 Eddie became Resident at the Decadance-Penthouse-Club (DPC) and the Flamingo-Club in Germany, which had the best international reputation a German club could have. National and international Acts like: Armand van Helden, Felix the Housecat, Jimmy Summerville, Erick Morillo, George Morel, Mike Dunn, Harry Romero, Roger Sanchez and Barbera Tucker made regular appearances at these two clubs.
Eddie is well known for his special dj performances. Working with three Pioneer cdj 1000 and 2 Effect-units at the same time. His sets seem more like a live performance working with loops, acapellas and special edits which are perfectly combined.

Eddie has worked closely with DJ Antoine, world famous DJ of Switzerland and Head of Egoiste Records and Houseworks. Eddie started to work as a remixer for some of the best known house acts, like Junior Jack and Kid Creme, Peter Presta, Tom Neville, Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso. The tracks appear on the Egoiste and Houseworks labels. Singles like “release the tension” (Houseworks) and the future release “Together as one” (Egoiste).

2005. A partnership is formed with Duesseldorf’s very own Thimo Seidel, label owner of hip underground vinyl distributor Opaque Music (since turned hip digital download distributor Deejaytunes.com) and the UK’s licensing impressario Giles Goodman boss of Dynamik Music. Eddies own productions were released. Several remixes came out on Opaque Music; Soul Avengerz, Red Hot Dutch.

Finally in 2006 comes the big breakthrough record; Eddie Thoneick vs Kurd Maverick “Love Sensation”, with two mixes from Eddie and one from Kurd Maverick. The “Eddie Thoneick Sensation Mix” generated a huge wave of support from Bob Sinclar, Angello & Ingrosso, Axwell, Morillo, Roger Sanchez, David Guetta, Robbie Rivera, Stonebridge and not least of all Pete Tong, Judge Jules and Dave Pearce. “Love Sensation” was one of the “must have” hot tunes of 2006. Released on Opaque Music / Kontor Records in Germany, CR2 / AATW in the UK, Oxyd Italy, Digidance Netherlands it will be released in France, Australia New Zealand, Japan, Greece, Portugal, USA, Canada, Spain, Brazil, South Africa.

In October 2006 Eddie Thoneick appears once more with another slamming tune.
Covering the classic “Deeper Love” by C+C-music-factory he will break thru as a solo artist! Together with the dutch vocalist Berget Lewis he conjured up another earcatcher.
Again big support from Morillo, Bob Sinclar, Axwell, Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong and many more.

Released on label-of-the-moment CR2, Oxyd, Kontor, Ministry of Sound (Aus) and many more top labels

Also look out for the follow up to Love Sensation with fellow German producer Kurd Maverick.
Right now Eddie just finished remixes for the worlds best acts like Roger Sanchez track “lost” and Bob Sinclar´s “everybody moving”.
