Lil Kim is the Queen of Hip-Hop having caused major influence from the dawn of hip-hop and still curves the shape of the genre. Born and raised in Brooklyn, her albums The Notorious K.I.M. and La Bella Mafia were certified Platinum, making her the only female rapper besides Missy Elliott to have at least 3 platinum albums. In addition, her work on ‘Lady Marmalade’ featuring alongside Mýa, Christina Aguilera and Pink won two MTV Video Music Awards including Video of the Year, and a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals at the 44th Grammy Awards. Lil’ Kim is now hard at work on her fifth studio album, produced by Grammy-Award winning producer Bangladesh.

Music insiders would have you believe that there are a variety of musical genres and categories, and that common ground is few and far between. However, the bottom line is that people embrace music and rhythms that mean something to them, no matter what their background. As Maxi Priest knows, music is universal. Over the course of 10 albums and countless live performances all over the globe, Maxi has unleashed a one-­‐ world music that heals, rejuvenates and uplifts.

The second youngest of nine children, Maxi’s parents had moved to London, England from Jamaica. His father was a steelworker in a factory, while his mother devoted her life to Christianity; she was a missionary at a Pentecostal Church and lead singer for the church choir, and as a youngster Maxi grew up listening to gospel, reggae, R&B, as well as pop music.

While working as a carpenter building speaker boxes for a local reggae sound-­‐system, Maxi Priest began singing over the mic at live dancehall sessions with artists such as Smiley Culture. In 1984 Maxi made a bit of history after he and Paul “Barry Boom” Robinson produced Philip Levi’s “Mi God Mi King, ” the first UK reggae tune to reach Number One in Jamaica.

His 1988 album Maxi, was recorded in Jamaica with legendary musicians Sly Dunbar, Robbie Shakespeare, and Willie Londo, and was released in America by Virgin Records. With “Some Guys Have All the Luck”, a cover of Cat Steven’s classic “Wild World” that gave Maxi his first U.S. smash hit, and roots tracks like his duet with Beres Hammond, level, gaining him worldwide recognition.

Two years later, Maxi released Bonafide, which achieved gold status, and the single “Close To You” hit Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and Number Two on the Hot R&B Singles chart.

In 1991, Maxi’s collaborations with Roberta Flack, “Set The Night To Music”, and with Shabba Ranks, “Housecall,” again took Maxi to the highest chart echelons, and he capped off the year by releasing Best Of Me, a powerful compilation of hits from his four previous albums.

By the early to mid 90′s, Maxi was critically acclaimed for his skills in balancing hard-­‐core reggae vibes with more mainstream pop sensibilities and that approach added to his growing popularity as both a recording and touring artist.

In 1996, Maxi released the hit CD Man With The Fun, which contained the crossover single “That Girl,” a duet with Shaggy. “That Girl” became a Grammy Nominated track and the accompanying Hype Williams-­‐directed video became and MTV staple.

CombiNation, released in 1999, is a sexy and soulful album embracing reggae, hip-­‐hop, R&B, rock, jazz, pop and rhythms, containing production and songwriting work by Sly & Robbie, Robert Livingston, Simon Law, and Joe. The album contains “Mary’s Got A Baby,” featuring a sizzling rap from Beenie Man; pumped up electro-­‐dancehall beats on the fierce and furious “She Wants To Dance” featuring toasters Degree and Red Rat; an uplifting track “We Tomorrow’s People” a collaboration with the acclaimed acid jazz band Icognito; the smoothed out old-­‐school R&B Donny Hathaway/Roberta Flack cover of “Back Together Again” featuring Elisha La’Verne; and the righteous reggafied take on Stevie Wonder’s classic Golden Lady.”

Since his 1988 debut, Maxi has enjoyed tremendous success as a singer with popularity and recognition around the world. In fact, he is the most successful reggae solo artist in the world, second only to legend Bob Marley. He has enjoyed numerous worldwide hits as well as a Number one pop chart smash and is widely credited with helping spread the gospel of reggae and Caribbean music.

His 2005 album, “2 The Max” includes the dancehall anthems “Full Hundred” and “Sweat A Go Buss” (featuring Beres Hammond) and the hot new single “Believe In Love” featuring 2005′s hottest new rhythm.

Maxi Priest’s music continues to grow. 2008 saw Maxi on tour with UB40, Toots and the Maytals, Third World and Rik Rok on the great Reggae Sunsplash Tour. Also Maxi’s new video, “Makes Me Wanna Hallah” (from the album to be released soon) is capturing a new and excited group of Maxi Priest fan.

Steve Huerta
Huerta’s forward-thinking productions in 2012 paved the way for a fruitful 2013, with chart topping releases on major deep house labels. “Do Good To Me” released on Miami’s petFood was the first of Huerta’s chart toppers. The EP broke into Beatport’s “Top 10 Releases”, with the title track shooting high into the “Deep House Top 100”. Soon after “Do Good To Me,” his anticipated “Things I Didn’t Mean” EP with Urulu was released on Berlin’s highly respected Dirt Crew Recordings. The title track “Things I Didn’t Mean” rose to #7 on the Beatport Deep House charts, remaining in the Top Ten for several weeks. The bona fide hit was among the top 50 most charted tracks on Resident Advisor for two months in a row, and was included on best of lists for Earmilk and DJ Mag. The single also graced the airwaves of BBC Radio 1, Ministry of Sound Radio, and Ibiza Global Radio.

Yooj
Yooj is a young San Francisco born DJ and producer who has carved a unique journey through sound on labels like Monique Speciale and Not Bad Music since he first jumped into the world of house music in early 2012. He garnered countless accolades and new fans with his release ‘Mademoiselle,’ an EP that held its position in both Beatport and Resident Advisor’s Top 10, while also finding its way on to Radio shows like John Digweed’s ‘Transitions’ and garnering festival and radio play from the likes of Sven Väth, Noir, Luca Bacchetti and more. Upcoming releases of this more deeply rooted sound are already in the pipeline for labels like Avotre and Retrofit, and are already finding airplay on the likes of Ministry of Sound Radio and Ibiza Global Radio.

The Nottingham-based producer first burst onto the scene early in 2013 with his debut ‘Broken’ EP on Montreal / L.A. / London based Amadeus Records – home to fellow MN2S Artists Urulu and Forrest. The EP garnered a plethora of support from the likes of Shadow Dancer and Detroit Swindle, along with tastemaker magazines like XLR8R and Ibiza Voice. Kat has also much experience of presenting on the radio for the likes of Capital FM, hosting Entertainment Weekly, providing rugby coverage at the O2 and many red carpet premieres as well as fronting a daily computer games show for Esport called The Hub. Kat is also a skilled voiceover artist who has done the continuity on Channel FIVE, provides regular voice overs for artist for Popgirl and voices a variety of Album and Single release adverts on television. Mike has since gone on to have an outstanding international rugby career, has represented Wales at Under 21 level and in 2003 he made his Wales debut against Romania, scoring an impressive fist match try. He made the squad for the 2007 Rugby World Cup and started one match against Japan in which he scored a try and won the man of the match award. Mike forced his way into the Welsh team against England during the 2008 Six Nations Championship. He scored the winning try as Wales claimed a 26–19 victory – their first at Twickenham in 20 years and one that won Mike a place in the hearts of Welsh rugby fans forever. In 2009, Mike was named as one of 13 Welsh players for the British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa. Mike Phillips is also patron of UK Charity Follow Your Dreams and so has plenty of time for such appointments, as well as having great stories to tell to audiences of all ages about his time inside the international rugby world.

His first solo release ‘Obsession/New Age People’ was released on Cardiff’s Catapult Records and gained him huge kudos points with an international DJ fraternity with plays from Move D, Ryan Elliot, Steffi and Jackmaster. He quickly followed up with a second release on catapult records the anthemic ”I don’t Love You” featuring the vocal talent of Jessy Allen who also features prolifically on the recent high contrast album ”the agony and the ecstasy”. These releases brought some serious attention to The Organ Grinder and he was soon invited to play his carrear highlight gig at Berlins Panorama Bar. He currently has a collaborative release out on Addison Groove’s newly launched Lost in Translation imprint this time with Chesus of CRST titled ‘Audio Porn’.
