Lauren Rose is a talented young vocalist who is set for major recognition and accolades in 2010. Based in London, Lauren’s vocal talents shone through from an early age at the Italia Conti Performing Arts School and she is now firmly established on the scene as a bright young star.

From her eye-catching early performances, Lauren made the natural move to the recording studio. While recording her first demo, she was noticed by Ryan Laubascher who quickly began the production of her first album. Lauren has since recorded songs that have received national press attention. ‘Hava Nagila (Baby Let’s Dance)’ – a cover of a traditional Jewish song and originally recorded as a present for a family member – picked up both radio and television support was signed to Marble Hill Productions and has since received over 850,000 hits on YouTube.

Throughout 2009 Lauren worked closely with Hed Kandi for whom she has recorded tracks with No Halo (‘Put Your Hands On’ and ‘What Is This Feeling’) and Warren Clarke (‘I’m Over This’) under his Jonni Black alias. ‘Put Your Hands On’ – a re-edit of the classic house cut ‘Sunday Shoutin’ by Johnny Corporate – immediately stormed the dance charts upon its release in summer 2009 and received radio support from Pete Tong (Radio 1), KISS FM and Capital FM. It has also featured on a number on high profile compilations such as ‘Ministry Of Sound – Decade In Dance’. Both ‘What Is This Feeling’ and ‘I’m Over This’ are set for release in 2010 and have recently featured on the latest Hed Kandi (‘A Taste Of Kandi – Winter 2010’) compilation. Lauren is currently working on new material with The Jinks and Nathan C.

In addition to her studio work, Lauren is also an experienced performer. Despite her young age she has already toured extensively throughout Europe and the U.S. She has completed a 6 week, 30 date UK tour alongside X-Factor star Ray Quinn while her killer performances of ‘Put Your Hands On’ have recently rocked clubs from Singapore to the Dominican Republic. Lauren has also recently performed at Pacha (London) and also raised the roof for Hed Kandi at their infamous summer residency at Space (Ibiza).

Now signed exclusively to MN2S, Lauren Rose is a hot young starlet who will certainly be going places in 2010. Check her out now!!

"...a slice of sunkissed house which sees vocal heartthrob Kathy Brown at the helm..."

Behold the next scorching release for you on MN2S – ‘Don’t Leave Me’, a slice of sunkissed house which sees vocal heartthrob Kathy Brown at the helm of yet another powerful production, and follows her previous successful production on MN2S in 2009 with The Layabouts – ‘Choices’.

South Carolina born Kathy began singing in her local gospel choir at an early age. Her first single ‘Can’t Play Around,” was released in 1993 and shot to number 13 on the US Billboard Dance Chart. She then scored huge success as part of musical collaboration Praxis, achieving a number one with ‘Turn Me Out’ – which has since been remixed and re-released a number of times. Brown then collaborated with David Morales in 1999 for ‘Joy’ – which leaped to number four in the Billboard Dance chart and is still one of her more recognizable tracks to date. But her biggest track to date which shot Kathy to her known fame today is surely Soul Central’s ‘Strings Of Life’ (Stronger On My Own), which was a top ten hit reaching number six in the UK singles chart alone, and a huge hit across Europe and the rest of the world. Kathy Brown has release a number of top records since, including more recently ‘Sound of the City’ In 2008, written by rising DJ/Producer Nick Tcherniak which peaked at number six on the UK Upfront Club Chart.

International DJ/Producer Ron Carroll provides the remixes for this production. Chicago born Carroll is both famed and respected on the global house music circuit, and has worked with many of the world’s most famous producers such as Bob Sinclar, E-Smoove, Maurice Joshua & Hardsoul. Ron’s latest track which appeared on the Nike advert has made him a true global superstar, and now sees him furthering his craft on his debut MN2S production.

Tracklisting
1 – Ron Carroll’s Vocal Mix
2 – Ron Carroll’s Dub Mix

Their career started somehow on a left foot... broke; they couldn't even afford a tram ticket (train, plane, any ticket), or so they said in their debut single. Fast forward to now and they really made it.

Their career started somehow on a left foot… broke; they couldn’t even afford a tram ticket (train, plane, any ticket), or so they said in their debut single. Fast forward to now and they really made it.

Their story begins early in 2002. There were four of them: Adrian, Marius, Mihai and Sorin. Their mission: MUSIC without borders! The stars were in a good mood that time of year and the planets perfectly aligned.

Team ready the first chapter of their mission started with the hit single “Ti-am promis” (the song with the ticket) and their debut album “In Culori”. It went gold in less than three weeks and platinum several months later in the process the boys becoming a national phenomenon and releasing several other singles: Ti-am promis, Prima Iubire, In culori si Cel mai dulce cadou. The boys shared their success with composer Marius Moga, who wrote the whole album.

Next on the agenda 2003 brought the second album, technically titled 100 BPM. The hit that sent the boys back to the top of the charts was Buchet de trandafiri and they also won the Romanian fans over when they revealed the meaning behind the album’s title: it’s the beating of the heart during a passionate kiss.

A rougher image and a slight change of rhythm followed in 2004 when the boys put out “Poveste de viata”. The title track and Spune-mi (Hey Baby!) both charted and the change marked yet another colorful chapter in the band’s CV. Not really the silence before the storm as their national success was at high levels but what followed took everyone by surprise.

2005 was the year MUSIC without borders, the boys’ mission, came into being. The European door was finally slammed open by the boys’ first single from the new album SOS. Naming the single Kylie and adding some cheeky lyrics was one of the smartest moves of their career. It gradually took Europe by storm and charted almost all over the continent. The Romanian version of the song Dragoste de închiriat won for the boys the BEST GROUP award at The MTV Romanian Music Awards in 2006, the trophy being handed out by the girls from SUGABABES.

2006 also meant the release of their PRIMUL CAPITOL album which included the first songs 100% written and produced by the boys JoKero and 9 Mai. The European success continued and soon Akcent found themselves having more gigs abroad than in their native Romania. To keep the fire burning, “King of Disco” was released in 2007, a “tribute song and video” to Madonna. It stayed for weeks at the top of Romanian airplay and Europe followed shortly. “King of Disco” also gave name to the new album from which another pan European hit was released: “Let’s Just Talk About It” – a song about words unspoken and feelings not shared. Charts alight? You bet. And that summer heat caught the boys in Poland, Russia and Northern Europe doing what they do best – singing and dancing for the fans.

After so much success and hard work something was bound to go wrong. 6 Golden and Platinum records, heaps of hits all over the continent and beyond and thousands of concerts but finally the feeling of invincibility came to a halt for a moment as Marius decided to fulfill his long time desire of becoming a solo artist and left the band. As the four boys became close friends during their time in the band, Adi, Mihai and Sorin respected Marius’ decision and even supported him; from that point four became three.

In 2008 as fall approached the boys released their eagerly anticipated new single “Stay with me” produced and written in Adi’s own studio. It stayed four weeks at number one in Romania and charted in many other territories, reaching the top spot in charts of Poland, Russia, Greece, Azerbaijan, Kazahstan and more. It paved the way for the new album, the first as a trio, “Fara lacrimi” (“No Tears”) and a brand new single, the 2009 summer smash “That’s My Name” that became a true border breaker taking the Akcent name again on the top spot of the charts of Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Israel, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Brazil, India, Pakistan and many more.

As their weekends are full with shows all over the place from Moscow to Baku and Madrid to Bangalore the boys spend their weekdays writing their new material.

Meet the guys:

Adrian Sana

Aries, born April the 18th 1977 in Baia Mare, Adi is the embodiment of his sign: passionate and perseverant. He started out as a DJ in his native city and cites the music as having a major influence in his life. Not a day goes by without music for him. In the meantime he has studied acting and made professional singing his career.
Mihai Gruia

In 2001 Mihai was a freshman studying Journalism and Philosophy at a Bucharest University. His then cv read professional sports: swimming, judo and football but also modelling.

Hauswerks are back with a vengeance for their 6th release on 1trax – ‘Untitled’

Aka Colin Barratt, Hauswerks has been producing & DJing for over 8 years. The past few have seen Colin building a strong reputation and fan-base at a rapid rate within the underground dance scene, the success of which has brought him global interest with recent tours and gigs in Brazil, Amsterdam, London, Norway and Ibiza’s Privilege. His signature techy beats and groovin basslines have grabbed the attention of everyone in the scene, with releases and remix requests both on 1trax and a number of other labels – releasing his highly successful production ‘Chunk’ in 2009 before delivering this next top release– ‘Untitled’.

Untitled comes wrapped up with impressive remixes from Matt Styles and D-Dub, who both dissect the track to explore more deeper evocative sounds, and deliver their own take on the production.

Hauswerks – Untitled – is on general release on 1trax from March 8th 2010
