With his 2006 booming hit "Boten Anna", Basshunter has been rolling on success ever since.
Basshunter is the ultimate bass creator and the worlds most in-demand commercial dance artist. He is involved in every aspect of his music from writing, producing and singing. With all tracks produced and written by Basshunter himself, it is no wonder that he’s become one of the worlds most talked about and exciting dance stars. He has nearly two million friends on Facebook, 30k Twitter followers and his YouTube figures on his video views is way over 250 million!
After signing a record deal with Warner Music in 2006, his first single Boten Anna was an instant hit, securing the #1 slot in eight European countries and making him the fastest selling artist in Sweden since Abba.
A thumping Euro dance smash, Basshunter re-worked Boten Anna and recorded it in English, with the end result being released in January 2008 as Now You’re Gone. The track shot to #1 in the UK where it remained for five consecutive weeks. It went on to become the biggest selling dance single of 2008 and has sold over 400 000 copies in the UK, achieving Gold record status. Swiftly followed by the massive selling #2 (for 3 weeks) smash hit All I Ever Wanted, Basshunter launched his debut album Now You’re Gone in summer 2008 seeing it reach the #1 spot and reach Platinum status. The hits continued throughout the year with Angel In The Night, I Miss You and Walk On Water.
Spending the first half of 2009 headlining the huge UK Dance Nation Arena Tour and writing his second UK album, Basshunter stormed back with Every Morning in September 2009. The album Bass Generation (Silver status) came soon after and Jonas toured the UK once again, taking his sell out Bass Generation show on the road!
Basshunter’s profile sky rocketed with his legendary appearance on Celebrity Big Brother. Proving hugely popular with the shows viewers, Basshunter reached the final and finished in fourth place (best international Celeb)! Directly after this appearance Basshunter jetted off to LA to work with long time collaborator Alex Herron on the video to Saturday – his most recent release. Signalling a different sound, Saturday was another success and saw Basshunter perform on the biggest shows on UK TV. With a huge tour of the US planned in the New Year, a third album ready to be released in late 2012 and an amazing brand new singe ready to be launched in March 2012, the sky’s the limit for everyone’s favourite dance king.
