In demand UK vocalist Rita has sung with major artists such as The Brand New Heavies, D:Ream, Steps, Stonebridge, Lemon Jelly to name but a few!
Rita Campbell is a much in demand UK vocalist and writer who has sung with the chart topping and internationally acclaimed pop star likes of Westlife, Steps, Brand New Heavies, Dave Gilmore of Pink Floyd and Roger Taylor of Queen as well as many more. Her writing credits include the hit “Stomp” with Steps and she has also written alongside Jason Herd, Kid Massive, Ian Carey, Stonebridge and many more stars from the worlds of pop and dance music.
As well as session vocal work and song writing, Rita has been the lead featured vocalist on plenty of essential house tunes over the years. Steve Mac, the Hed Kandi label, Chris Bangs, Dirty Vegas and more have all her enlisted her services, for example, whilst she has collaborated a fair few times, too, including with Bodyrox’s Jon Pearn and Avalon Superstar for label like Ministry of Sound in London.
As a live performer, Rita is just as revered and has sung all over the world from Glastonbury to the V Festivals, from Hyde Park and Wembley to sunny Ibiza via key clubs like BCM, Pacha and countries as far afield as Sao Paulo, Australia, Singapore, Dubai and Russia.
As well as this, Rita also writes music for TV commercials, film and is always involved in many exciting new dance projects and with various pop acts on major labels. Such projects most recently have included collaborations with Richard Dinsdale, Rachel Electra and Danny Dove, working on a house EP with Abigail Bailey as Sistas of House and she also has plenty more projects recorded around the world coming on labels like Cr2 in the coming months.
Most excitingly for Rita is the imminent release of her “Let it Go” track in August on Ispirato Music. It was co-written with Kylie/Lady GaGa producer Marc JB and will be featured on a brand new TV series about Ibiza featuring Judge Jules. This, couple with a live performance to be recorded for radio, suggest the future is as bright as has been the past for Rita Campbell.
