International DJ, producer and remixer Seamus Haji gathers up his favourite and hottest tunes for another delicious helping of Big Love. Last year’s first foray, released on Defected, set the pace and this year the pace is well & truly upped with this showcase of recent & current global clubland favourites which all happen to be on Haji’s own label – Big Love!**
Perfectly blended from a vocal-led first half, the mix leads us on into the darker dancefloors of the underground. The collection features a healthy smattering of Seamus’ in-demand remixes and productions including the forthcoming smash collaboration with Mark Knight & Funkagenda, a cover of the Chic classic “Good Times” and his sublime remix of indie folk band One Eskimo’s “Hometime” – a real winter warmer.
Other highlights include Harry Choo Choo Romero’s triumphant remix of Swanky Tunes “Equilibrium”, which you may have heard rocking at the hands of the Swedish House Mafia amongst others; the Thomas Gold remix of “Get Lifted (Indian Summer)”, the rousing anthem from Sam Obernik, Huggy and Dean Newton and indeed his dazzling take on the disco delight from Undercover Lover “Who’s Been Sleeping In My Bed?”; Kim Fai’s puzzingly entitled ‘Brazilian Crab Ladder’ remix of Felix Baumgartner & DSS “Free Your Mind” shows why he’s the A-starred wunderkind, beloved of the new breed of Superstar DJs.
If this doesn’t get you geared up for the festive season – then Bah Humbug to you!
