MN2S would like to welcome British soul legend Omar to the roster.
In 1985 Omar released two underground hits “Mr Postman” and “You & Me”, following up in 1990 with his debut album “There’s Nothing Like This”.
After signing to Gilles Peterson’s label, Talkin Loud, the album was propelled to number 19 in the UK album chart. The LP shares its name with the lead single which has become his defining release, and a song synonymous with early 90s soul.
Omar: The Collaborator
Omar’s background in music as a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music London allows him the versatility and creative freedom to take bold career steps. As such Omar has collaborated with a variety of high profile industry figures, from legendary Motown producers Leon Ware and Lamont Dozier through to urban artists Erykah Badu and Bashy.
Often credited as the father of Neo Soul, Omar begins a new chapter of his career with MN2S in 2014.
