Decode Records first began as a vehicle for MN2S to explore the concept of crossing their records over to a mainstream audience, and to connect with broader range of consumers. It now gives MN2S the scope to work with key artists from the agency that previously didn’t fall into the more soulful category which MN2S has more traditionally been associated with.
Decode’s debut release sees Pop conceiver Boy George officially back on music’s mainstream radar for good, with his first major commercial release in over ten years. Amazing Grace – written by Boy George, John Themis & Roland Faber is produced & mixed by notorious remix duo The Sharp Boys. Amazing Grace takes Boy George back to pure, unadulterated pop music and sees the artist collaborating with critically acclaimed Portuguese singer Ana Lains to produce some hypnotic, unforgettable vocals. Delivered to the masses with an intense remix package including top club re-mixes from Kurd Maverick, The Sharp Boys, Filo & Peri, and Mac & Taylor, Amazing Grace is released on March 22nd 2010.
Coming up in April, Decode sees Jon Pearn (Bodyrox & Full Intention) and Panos Liassi (Supafly) unite to form the new producer amalgamation Polluted Mindz. These boys are the masterminds behind what is set to be one of the biggest club records of 2010, and have blended dance music seamlessly with an urban vibe – uniting with famed urban artist Master Shortie for the label’s next release Daydream. Daydream is released on April 5th 2010.
