New York hip hop, house and nu disco singer/producer Nomi Ruiz is coming to Europe next month to promote her new music and play shows around the continent.

The American artist plans to tour Europe this year, starting in February, with shows in Spain and Greece already scheduled.

Nomi has fronted the house group NR& for almost exactly three years, and the trio will release a new EP on February 12. The EP, featuring two songs, combines the raw and ragged production of DJs &ME and Rampa with Nomi’s sensual vocals.

Nomi has had huge success in recent years, with NR&, her project Jessica 6, and her burgeoning solo career. Releasing most of her music through her own record label, Parkside Records, Nomi’s solo album Lost in Lust gave her the chance to tour with Debbie Harry, Peaches and others.

Some may recognise Nomi as one of the most notable contributing vocalists to Hercules and Love Affair’s self titled album in 2008. When she toured with the band that year, many critics noted that she had the air of a future megastar. Now, electronic music fans all over Europe can see for themselves when Nomi touches down in February.

Aside from her singing prowess, Nomi is also a skilled DJ, taking her place alongside many dance floor veterans on the MN2S booking agency’s DJ roster. Her sets receive universal acclaim, and her mixes are consistently popular on SoundCloud.

On top of her new NR& release, and recent new music from Jessica 6, Nomi’s latest themed mix, the ‘Sex Drive Mix’, will be hitting SoundCloud very soon.
