His reputation as a master producer and remixer secured collaborations with many leading artists of the RnB and Pop genres, including Mary J. Blige, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Diana Ross, Luther Vandross and Toni Braxton. His talent for transforming records for the dance floor was acknowledged by The Grammy’s when they opened their remixer category in 1997 with Frankie being awarded the first Golden Gramophone.
Now Chicago pioneer Frankie Knuckles returns to lay down a sunny and keyboard-heavy take on pop group Hurts’ “Blind”. The remix brings in a dancing positivity the ever-brooding that Hurts rarely show – just like that, it would appear as though Frankie has banged out another instant classic (and with ease)!
