Keeping up with the Jones

House producer David Jones is one of the most in-demand men in dance music right now.

Since the ‘Diva & Jones’ (a collaboration between David and producer Aqua Diva) remake of Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ became one of the biggest selling dance records of 2009, the Milan-based DJ/producer has been hot property.

Remix requests have come flooding in throughout 2010 with Armin Van Buuren, Shara Nelson, Milton Jackson, Coolio and Sergio Fernandez all getting a taste of Jones’ midas touch.

Now everything David releases races to the top of the house charts at Beatport – the world’s leading digital download store for DJs and dance music enthusiasts.

David’s most recent remix – an anthemic rework of Will Gold’s super-catchy ‘Swing Time’ – is currently storming up the Beatport house chart.

Success came quickly for Jones, who launched his Starlight record label in 2008. By the summer of 2009 the label was fast becoming one of the most-checked house imprints around, with DJs rushing to snap-up each and every new release.

Alongside best-seller ‘Thriller’, David also tasted success with a cheeky remix of Eminem’s ‘Without You’ and a number of reworks for Starlight acts Neuroxyde, Da Hool, Daniel Hoppe, and Fuzzy Hair.

Now David has capped a great 2010 by signing up with the MN2S DJ Agency.
