A warm welcome this week to M People, who join the MN2S booking agency live roster.
With their roots in the Manchester club scene and The Haçienda’s Mike Pickering at the helm, their track ‘How Can I Love You More?’ became a club hit in 1991 before they began their assault on the charts in 1993 with the first string of their ten Top 10 hits. Their breakthrough album ‘Elegant Slumming’ hit No. 2 and won the prestigious Mercury Music Prize.
They won a BRIT Award in 1994 and another in 1995 thanks to third album ‘Bizarre Fruit’, which stayed in the charts for an incredible two-and-a-half years and earned them a headline slot at Glastonbury. Follow-up ‘Bizarre Fruit II’ became one of the biggest-selling albums of the ‘90s. Next album ‘Fresco’ went Platinum, selling over 1.1m copies.
The band are still touring today, bringing their vibrant live show to festivals and events across the world.
