Steve ‘Smooth’ Sutherland is one of the most respected and talented DJs on the scene. Widely recognised as a key ambassador of urban music, Steve’s long-standing association with Twice As Nice and Galaxy Radio have allowed him to showcase his talents to a wide audience and heavily contribute to the urban music scene. As a DJ, Steve’s talent is recognised by both the music industry and his worldwide fan base. Throughout past years he has received the Best Club and Radio DJ Mobo award on four occasions – an unprecedented achievement. As well as being the most successful DJ in the history of the Mobos, Steve has also won a host of other awards and nominations such as Best Urban DJ at the Pacha DJ Awards.
Steve first became recognised on the urban club scene for his DJ residencies at Twice As Nice and Smoove. Twice As Nice is one of the UK’s most influential tour brands and through this connection Steve has toured extensively as a DJ. He has also been heavily involved with the Twice As Nice CD compilation series. Consistently in high demand, his versatility and talent has taken him around the world performing shows for the likes of MTV, Nokia and UMF and he has hosted influential radio shows on stations such as BBC, Choice FM and Galaxy FM. As you can see, Steve is keeping up the pressure and doing what he does best; rocking clubs and airwaves and heavily contributing to the urban scene.
