Gary Graham is an American actor, blues musician, and political commentator. His long television career has seen him star as Detective Matthew Sikes in the much-missed sci-fi police drama Alien Nation, play Ambassador Soval in Star Trek: Enterprise, and play various characters in The Jase Hall Show. He also fronts the Star Trek-themed rock band, Sons of Kirk. He is a staunch and vocal Republican and has contributed opinion pieces to the right-wing Breitbart News Network. He also regularly shares his political views on Twitter.
Graham was born in Long Beach, California, in June 1950. His screen-acting career began in the mid-1970s with appearances in popular shows of the time, such as Starsky & Hutch and Scruples. He also appeared in numerous films, but it wasn’t until 1989 that he got his major break when he was cast as Detective Sikes in Alien Nation, an early product of the Fox Network that was cancelled despite being a hit with audiences and critics — it has since been lamented as a prime example of a great television show that was cancelled too soon. Graham nevertheless got to reprise the role of Sikes in several television movies over the years.
Graham continued to build his reputation as a sci-fi actor with roles in the likes of M.A.N.T.I.S, Star Trek Voyager, Enterprise, and Renegade; JAG, and many others. He also popped in episodes of series such as Ally McBeal and Nip/Tuck. Among his most recent roles is that of Ronald in the 2022 supernatural horror film, Jeepers Creepers: Reborn.
