Kevin Gaskell is a serial entrepreneur and businessman, whose trailblazing leadership and extraordinary profitability track record put him among the most distinguished names in British business. He has served as CEO of several world-renowned brands and has across his career created over £3 billion in shareholder value. He is particularly known for his time with brands including Porsche, BMW and EurotaxGlass’s.
Gaskell trained as an engineer, before studying accountancy and completing an MBA. During the early years of his career, he would gain formative experience in the chemical and construction industries, before moving into the automotive sector, where he would make his mark. He joined Porsche GB Ltd in 1987, becoming Managing Director five years later at the age of just 33, and is credited with turning around the business from a loss-making one to become the UK’s most profitable car company. He followed this with stints as Managing Director of the UK branches of both Lamborghini and BMW while still in his thirties.
Since leaving BMW, Gaskell has worked across the technology, marketing, retail and professional service sectors. He served as European CEO of CarsDirect, and helped establish start-up epyx Limited, sitting on the board for 8 years. He was Group CEO of EurotaxGlass’s, where he helped the company expand into 30 countries, conducted a management buyout, and later acting as the group’s non-executive President. He has since served as chairman of Achilles Group Limited and Courland Automotive, as a partner in Germany-based Admetam GmbH, and as an associate partner with DDA Consulting International.
A keen adventurer, Gaskell has undertaken a number of extreme endurance challenges. He has climbed several mountains including Mount Everest, and has trekked to the North and South Poles in support of Cancer Research and students with special educational needs.
