MN2S talent and drag performer Sasha Colby will be the headline act at this year’s NYC Pride celebrations.
Sasha Colby is set to headline PrideFest at NYC Pride 2023. Performing two songs, Sasha will be sharing the stage with a number of other performers, including Yvie Oddly, Shamir, Medusa, Macy Rodman, Bunny Michael and Libby Larkin. PrideFest is an annual LGBTQIA+ street fair that combines exhibitors, food, and activities for a day of enjoyment and celebration in the name of inclusion and equality. The event unites NYC locals, families, sponsors, community leaders, local business owners, and remarkable talent from around the world that are invited to perform, including Sasha Colby. Taking place Sunday June 25 in Greenwich Village, PrideFest is a free event that will see over 100,000 people attending.
Sasha Colby is an acclaimed American drag performer and beauty pageant competitor. She rose to fame by winning the prestigious Miss Continental competition in 2012 and later became the winner of season 15 of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2023. Hailing from Waimānalo, Hawaii, Sasha’s journey began in a conservative Jehovah’s Witness household before she overcame these circumstances to become one of the world’s most renowned drag performers. Sasha is also celebrated as a trans model and activist, representing Hawaii in GLAAD’s video and organizing inclusive events. Her historic win on Drag Race makes her the first-ever Native Hawaiian winner and the first of Polynesian descent, joining the league of recent transgender champions.
