American house DJ/producer Dennis Ferrer has revealed that he will be returning to play in the UK in the summer – but has left fans guessing as to where.
Ferrer used his popular Twitter feed to reveal that he will be returning to the UK to DJ on July 2nd, but asked fans to “hold tight” for further information.
The Objektivity Records boss has built up a sizeable following in Britain, but appearances from the busy DJ/producer are relatively limited thanks to a hectic studio schedule and a heavy DJ commitments around the world.
Ferrer is expected to spend much of this summer jetting between the US and Europe, where he will play a number of sets at music festivals. He will also bea regular in Ibiza, DJing on his own and alongside rising stars and fellow Objektivity artists The Martinez Brothers.
Ferrer and the two Martinez siblings recently launched their Neuwave Renegades project with a lavish party at the Miami Winter Music Conference. A loose collective of New York-based DJs and producers headed by the three Objektivity champions, it will be used to promote parties, events and music releases.
The Neuwave Renegades have also made their first starring appearance in a commercial – an online viral for Native Instruments’ Traktor Scratch Pro 2, a popular digital DJing system that gives would-be DJs and professionals far greater control over their performance than standard vinyl or CD DJing.
