Currently topping the Traxsource charts at #1 is Mekkah feat. Stephen Granville – Race Of Survival out on Seamus Haji’s Big Love label.
Originally released in the mid 90’s under Seamus’ Mekkah guise this was a big track for the likes of Tony Humphries, Louie Vega and Frankie Knuckles. Seamus then put together a new mix using the classic Carl Bean “I Was Born This Way” sample under his Mekkah guise which kicked off his Soul Love label in 2002.
Sean McCabe has now been entrusted to revive for 2011’s more soulful dancefloors and the track has received heaps of support from the likes of The Shapeshifters, Tony Humphries, Grant Nelson, ATFC, DJ Disciple, Joey Negro, DJ Meme, The Layabouts, John “Julius” Knight, Mark Doyle, CJ Macintosh, Bobby & Steve, The Rurals, Marlon D, Aga Heller, Booker T and many more.
