Actress and singer Holly Robinson Peete is known for her roles in drama series such as 21 Jump Street and For Your Love, and for hosting The Talk.
Peete’s career in television started when she was a girl, with brief appearances in Sesame Street and Kidsworld. Later she landed roles in television drama series’, first in 21 Jump Street which she starred in for four years, and then in Hangin’ with Mr Cooper which she was in for five years. More appearances followed, this time in For Your Love and Like Family, as well as portraying Diana Ross in The Jacksons: An American Dream. Peete has also enjoyed success as a singer, most notably recording the theme songs for both 21 Jump Street and Hangin’ With Mr Cooper. This multi-talented performer didn’t stop there though, and has released two award winning books, the first a guide for women in sport called Get Your Own Damn Beer, I’m Watching the Game! and the second a children’s book, My Brother Charlie. She is a passionate advocate for both autism causes and Parkinson’s charities, and has spoken out on these topics during her time as a host on daytime talk show The Talk.
Most recently, Peete has returned to television with roles in the Morning Show Mystery film series, as well as her own reality show, For Peete’s Sake which follows the life of her and her NFL footballer husband. This versatile and experienced actress is a household name and a favourite across America.
