Nikita Koloff is a former professional wrestler, otherwise known as ‘The Russian Nightmare.’ He fought in the National Wrestling Alliance with the aim of proving Russian dominance in the wrestling world, but he began his career in World Championship Wrestling. Koloff’s path into wrestling was unconventional, with his original intent being to be a footballer, but he soon became one of the most successful wrestlers of his time.
As with all wrestlers, Koloff’s career told a story. His Russian Nightmare persona was popular among fans, and his character seemed to arc from evil to good. He teamed up with The American Dream, who was one of his biggest inspirations, and fought alongside him until he ended his career in 1992 after sustaining a serious injury. To this day, Koloff’s wrestling legacy lives on, and he is well loved within the wrestling community.
Since leaving his wrestling career behind, Koloff has also trained to become a minister and has put a large focus on his family. He uses his social media, where he has a following of over thirteen thousand people, to influence others, sharing positivity and uplifting messages. He also founded ManCamp, a programme designed to bring participants closer to God and to reconnect with nature. Koloff has also dabbled as an entrepreneur, opening a gym called Nikita’s Fortress of Fitness back in 1991.
