Lauren Sesselmann is a Canadian soccer defender and former forward who was born in the United States. Sesselmann was a member of the Canadian team that won the gold medal in the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, she won a bronze medal in the women’s football event. From 2011 to 2015, she was a part of the Canadian national team. Sesslemann, along with fellow Olympic Bronze Medalists Jonelle Filigno, Robyn Gayle, Kaylyn Kyle, and Josée Bélanger, was honored by Canada Soccer in 2017. Currently, Sesselmann is a member of the Santa Clarita Blue Heat.
Sesselmann works as a professional trainer when she is not on the field. Lauren Sesselmann is also the creator and host of the fitness DVD series “Fit As A Pro with Lauren Sesselmann.” In addition, she serves as a FIFA agent and mentor. She is a prominent host of “The Ball Out” and the host of the podcast “About the Game.” Her passion for fitness and position of power has given her the opportunity to become a mental health advocate for those who need it On yet another podcast, “The Pro Mentality,” she hosts other professional soccer players that give advice and tips for youth players.
