Flower Power emerged in the early 1980s as a significant event within Ibiza’s clubbing scene, established by Pacha founder Ricardo Urgell. Initially conceived to pay homage to the cultural spirit of the 1960s and ’70s, it provided an alternative atmosphere to the increasing electronic focus of the island’s nightlife. Its early iterations were characterized by happy, hippy vibes, and it quickly became popular among locals and those familiar with Ibiza’s unique culture, maintaining a continuous presence since 1981.
Over the decades, Flower Power has maintained its core essence of celebrating freedom, peace, happiness, and music, while adapting its musical offerings. Early events featured DJs such as Piti, Joan Ribas, and Victor Nebot, who curated sounds from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s. More recently, the brand has incorporated international electronic music artists like Armand Van Helden, Bob Sinclar, and Louie Vega, bridging its classic roots with contemporary house music. This evolution ensures its appeal to diverse audiences, spanning generations.
For the 2025 season, Flower Power continues its residency at Pacha Ibiza every Saturday from June 7 to August 30, with a closing event on October 4. The party is structured around four experiential chapters, featuring a blend of genres. The lineup includes a mix of established and emerging talent, with Bora Uzer as a weekly resident bringing live, eclectic sets, and Sam Oui performing warm-up duties. Guest DJs confirmed for 2025 include Anané & Louie Vega, Boy George, David Morales, Flight Facilities, Masters At Work, Purple Disco Machine, and Roger Sanchez, alongside live performances from the London House Gospel Choir and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. The event maintains its signature visual aesthetic, incorporating psychedelic decor, flower crowns, and vintage costumes.
