10 Years signed with Mascot Label Group at the end of 2016.
10 Years released their album "Minus the Machine" on their own independent label, Palehorse Records, which is part of Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group.
10 Years originated in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1999, forming with an initial lineup including Mike Underdown on vocals, Brian Vodinh on drums, Lewis Cosby on bass, and Ryan Johnson and Matt Wantland on guitars. This early configuration saw the independent release of “Into the Half Moon” in 2001. A significant change occurred in 2002 when Jesse Hasek took over as lead vocalist, following Mike Underdown’s departure. The band released their second independent album, “Killing All That Holds You,” in 2004, which further solidified their sound and began to capture wider attention.
Their career advanced considerably in 2005 when they signed with Universal Records. This partnership led to the release of their major label debut, “The Autumn Effect,” on August 16, 2005. The album’s lead single, “Wasteland,” became a breakthrough hit, spending over 12 months on the rock charts and reaching No. 1 on active rock radio in December 2005. The success of “Wasteland” also earned the band nominations for Best Direction and Best Art Direction at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. “The Autumn Effect” achieved Gold certification from the RIAA, marking a significant milestone. Following this success, 10 Years toured extensively with notable bands such as Disturbed, Ill Niño, Breaking Benjamin, Mudvayne, Sevendust, Korn, and Deftones, participating in tours like the Masters of Horror tour and the Family Values Tour.
Over the years, 10 Years has continued to evolve their musical style, releasing a total of 10 studio albums. Their discography includes “Division” (2008), “Feeding the Wolves” (2010), “Minus the Machine” (2012), “From Birth to Burial” (2015), “(How to Live) as Ghosts” (2017), and “Violent Allies” (2020). These albums have seen the band explore alternative metal, progressive metal, post-grunge, and nu metal genres. In 2022, they released “Deconstructed”, an album featuring alternate takes of their hits, and an EP titled “Inner Darkness” in 2024, with a full album announced for 2025. The band has maintained a consistent touring schedule, participating in major festivals like Soundwave in Australia and Projekt Revolution with Linkin Park, further solidifying their presence in the rock music scene.
