After developing their craft in South London with a home-built studio funded by early jobs, multi-platinum production duo Da Beatfreakz, comprised of Obi Ebele (O1) and Uche Ebele (U1), quickly established their unique blend of Afrobeat, Rap, Dancehall, and R&B. Their initial breakthrough came through MySpace, where they connected with legendary producers Cool & Dre, leading to an invitation to St. Louis by hit-making production team Trakstarz.
Da Beatfreakz subsequently signed with Trakstarz’s company for four years, gaining invaluable experience working with prominent artists such as Chingy and Jon B, solidifying their ambition to forge their own distinct sound. Following their foundational work in the US, Da Beatfreakz relocated to London, continuing to expand their global influence and catalog. This period saw them secure a significant placement on N-Dubz’s acclaimed ‘Uncle B’ album. They further broadened their reach by collaborating with renowned songwriters including Kat Deluna and Jeremih, building a robust network within the music industry.
They have also expanded their presence as prominent DJs, engaging audiences globally. Currently, Da Beatfreakz are focused on significant brand expansion, including the establishment of their own publishing company and record label.
