Desiigner

Sidney ‘Desiigner’ Selby is a 21-year-old rapper, songwriter, producer, and record executive. The artist rose to prominence in 2016 after the release of his major viral hit ‘Panda’. Desiigner was discovered by Kanye West and swiftly signed to his G.O.O.D Music (Getting Out Our Dreams) imprint under Def Jam Recordings. ‘Panda’ rose to No 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart while West reworked the song into ‘Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 2’, from The Life of Pablo. The rapper followed up his smash-hit debut with the single ‘Timmy Turner’, peaking at No 34 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Desiigner is known for a unique vocal stylethat makes use of ferocious and explosive adlibs, recognizable in most of histracks. 2016 saw Desiigner featured in the annual XXL Freshman Class issue, appearingon the magazine’s cover alongside artists including Anderson .Paak, KodakBlack, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, and more. The rapper dropped his eagerlyanticipated debut mixtape New English in summer of 2016. Peaking at No 14 onthe Billboard Top R&B / Hip-Hop Albums chart, the release was executive-producedby legendary studio wizard and frequent G.O.O.D music collaborator Mike Dean,featuring contributions from Pusha T, Mekado, and King Savage.

L.O.D. (Life of Desiigner) is Desiigner’sdebut EP. Continuing a fruitful creative relationship with producer Mike Dean,the record has no features, choosing to highlight Desiigner’s talents alone.The seven-track effort features lead single  ‘Tonka’ and ‘Destiination’, both of which haveracked up millions of YouTube views in just a few short months. Desiigner hasrecently collaborated with fellow next-gen hip-hop artist Lil Pump and issued adouble dose of two incendiary singles: ‘Earned IiT!’ and ‘Soul’, featuringBenjamin Lasnier.
