DJ TNT is a hip-hop DJ and producer originally out of Buffalo, New York, but currently making waves in Oakland, California — he was named the Bay’s Best DJ of 2021. A staple of parties and festivals, he is an official DJ for the legendary Cloud Sesh events held in the Bay Area and is also the president of a local collective called the Coalition DJs. He is building a sizeable audience on social media, including over 10,000 followers across Instagram and YouTube. As well as regularly producing other artists, he also makes non-profit beats that can be downloaded for free use.

TNT was born Tre’cee Artis back in 1992. His father was a DJ, and through him, TNT developed an early passion for music, spending hours playing around with a cassette recorder and flicking through the local NY radio stations. By the time he was 14, he was living in Maine with his father, who introduced him to local nightlife scene and helped to get him his first DJ residency when he was just 16 years old.

After finishing high school, TNT moved to Oakland to pursue a career in the music industry. He fell in love with the emerging West Coast Bay Area sound and began hosting his own radio shows and mixtape series to showcase both new local musical talent and his own DJing skills. Through these and his natural tenacity, he began landing bigger and better gigs around the Bay Area and has long since graduated to festivals and some of the most exclusive parties going.
