Grace Jones

Grace Jones, a Jamaican singer, songwriter, model, and actress, has established herself as an influential figure in music, fashion, and film, known for her distinctive style and impactful performances across various artistic platforms. After signing with Wilhelmina Models and moving to Paris in 1970, Grace Jones quickly gained recognition for her unique, androgynous appearance. She modeled for prominent houses like Yves Saint Laurent and Kenzo, gracing ‘Elle’ and ‘Vogue Hommes’ covers, and working with celebrated photographers Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin, and Hans Feurer. Jones transitioned into music in 1977, signing with Island Records and becoming a central figure in New York City’s Studio 54 disco scene.

In 1992, Jones appeared in ‘Boomerang’ alongside Eddie Murphy, also contributing to its soundtrack. She consistently maintained her distinctive visual identity, often collaborating with graphic designer Jean-Paul Goude.
