Judah & the Lion, an American folk band from Nashville, Tennessee, has been captivating audiences since their formation in 2011. The group, initially comprised of Judah Akers and Brian Macdonald, quickly gained recognition after winning Belmont University’s 2012 Best of the Best competition. Their debut EP, “First Fruits,” released in June 2012, set the stage for their dynamic sound, blending elements of folk, hip-hop, and pop.

The band’s breakthrough came with the release of their second EP, “Sweet Tennessee,” in 2013, which achieved impressive chart positions, including No. 2 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums chart. Their debut full-length album, “Kids These Days,” launched in September 2014, entered Billboard’s Heatseekers chart at No. 2, showcasing their ability to resonate with a diverse audience. In 2022, they released “Revival,” a reflection of their creative evolution during the pandemic, followed by their fifth album, “The Process,” in 2024.
