Neha Kakkar Singh, born on June 6, 1988, in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India, is an Indian playback singer. She began performing at a young age at religious events and is the younger sister of playback singer Sonu Kakkar. In 2005, she participated in the second season of the singing reality show “Indian Idol.” Her Bollywood debut was as a chorus singer in the film “Meerabai Not Out.” She gained recognition with the dance track “Second Hand Jawaani” from “Cocktail” in 2012, followed by other popular party songs like “Sunny Sunny” from “Yaariyan” and “London Thumakda” from “Queen.”
Beyond her playback singing career, Kakkar has been featured in multiple music videos and has served as a judge on various television reality shows, prominently “Indian Idol.” Her career has seen significant milestones, including being listed among the most-viewed female artists on YouTube in 2019 with 13.9 billion views.
