Perfume Genius

Perfume Genius, the acclaimed singer, songwriter, and musician Michael Alden Hadreas, officially launched his career in 2008 with the creation of a MySpace page under his stage name. This artistic endeavor quickly led to the release of his critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Learning,’ on June 21, 2010, through Turnstile Records and Matador Records. Shortly after, he made his first live performance at The Vera Project in Seattle. A significant development in his music came with his collaboration with pianist Alan Wyffels, who has continued to perform alongside him.

Demonstrating his versatility, he contributed a cover to ‘The New Look’ soundtrack in 2024. Looking ahead, Perfume Genius announced his highly anticipated seventh album, ‘Glory,’ which was released in 2025. Known for his evocative art pop and indie rock music, Perfume Genius consistently explores themes of sexuality, personal struggle, and the human condition, offering a unique artistic perspective that resonates deeply with audiences and makes him a compelling figure for brands seeking an authentic and profound voice.
