Seungkwan

Boo Seung-kwan, known mononymously as Seungkwan, is a prominent South Korean singer and entertainer affiliated with Pledis Entertainment. He rose to fame as a member of the acclaimed boy group Seventeen, where he showcases his vocal prowess as part of the Vocal team subunit. Additionally, Seungkwan is part of the special unit BSS (BooSeokSoon) alongside Hoshi and DK, known for their vibrant performances.

Debuting with Seventeen in May 2015 with the EP “17 Carat,” Seungkwan has been instrumental in the group’s success in the K-pop industry. He expanded his influence beyond music through various Korean variety shows such as “Unexpected Q,” “Prison Life of Fools,” and “Idol Dictation Contest,” where his wit and charm have endeared him to audiences.

Seungkwan’s versatility as an entertainer extends to acting and soundtrack contributions. Notably, he released singles like “Kind of Love” for the drama “Mother” (2018), “Go” for “Record of Youth” (2020), and “The Reason” for “Lovestruck in the City” (2021). His talents were further recognized with awards such as the “Rookie (Music and Talk)” award at the 2018 MBC Entertainment Awards and the “Male Idol Entertainer” award at the 2022 Korea First Brand Awards.

Continuing to broaden his horizons, Seungkwan has ventured into television shows like “Job Dongsan” and the sports-themed “Racket Boys,” showcasing his dynamic presence and earning acclaim for his contributions to South Korea’s entertainment landscape.
