Adrian Martin is a chef and reality star who rose to prominence on Season 5 of the popular Bravo series Below Deck. A break-out star of the show, Martin was a breath of fresh air to his fellow crewmates and quickly became a fan favourite amongst viewers.
Martin grew up on the island of Saint Maarten and was inspired to become a chef after helping out in his father’s restaurant. After several intensive apprenticeships at the most prestigious restaurants in Paris and 4 years attending top culinary schools in France, Martin decided to travel with his skills and began exploring the world in his early 20s as a chef cooking on yachts. His passion led him to prepare meals for many influential people in some the world’s most exotic and remote locations. Through his travels he broadened his cultural, spiritual and culinary knowledge which he now incorporates into his unique dishes as a chef.
The young chef joined the My Seanna yacht in season 6 of Below Deck, and was a calming presence defying the stereotype that chefs are often neurotic and hard to work with. Since appearing on the show he has continued to work as a chef, offering private dining experiences. His plans to go on a culinary tour of the USA in 2020 were put on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but Martin hopes to travel again soon and bring his culinary skills to a wider audience.
