Born in 1978 in Alsace, France to partly-British parents, Allister Heath is a business journalist and most recently was announced as the editor of national newspaper The Sunday Telegraph back in April of 2017.
Alsace would move to the UK with his parents when he was 17 mainly to study economics at LSE (London School of Economics) which he attended between the years of 1995 and 1998. He would then go on to gain his postgraduate degree on Philosophy from Hertford College in Oxford.
Moving onto his career, Allister started out with spells as editor of both City A.M and then The Business. He would go on to leave The Business in order to take up a role as deputy editor of national newspaper The Daily Telegraph where he would contribute to their business section. He is also an acclaimed author having wrote first in 2006 with the book being named ‘A Flat Tax: Towards a British Model’.
Heath was also named in 2017 as number 87 in ‘The Top 100 Most Influential People on the Right’. Awards that Heath has picked up during his career include being a winner of the IEA Free Enterprise award. He now currently works as editor of The Sunday Telegraph.
