Andrew “Dice” Clay prides himself in being the most controversial comedian around with 40 years experience and ten comedy albums (some of which went platinum).
After his first standup audition, Clay headlined clubs the week after, working the same stages as Eddie Murphy and Robin Williams. With his growing fame, the doors opened for him to debut in the film: Wacko, and make appearances on hit sitcoms like M*A*S*H. This led to him landing his first regular role on television: Max Goldman in NBC’s Crime Story. Meanwhile, his success in standup led to a contract with 20th Century Fox, a “Comedy Act of the Year” title from Performance Magazine, and multiple TV specials.
Right after Clay was banned from MTV, he made history as the first comedian to sell out Madison Square Garden two nights in a row. Meanwhile, he was cast as the leading man in The Adventures of Ford Fairlane. Two years later, he broke records again by performing in front of the largest audience a comedian’s ever seen, alongside Guns and Roses at the Rose Bowl. Also, he’s responsible for the first ever standup pay-per-view, which was the highest grossing one of the year in a non-sports genre.
Throughout the years, he’s been all over TV, starring in CBS’s Bless This House, featuring in Vinyl and the show/movie for Entourage, hosting Showtime’s The Blue Show, and his own reality show, Dice: Undisputed. He even had supporting roles in star-studded films like Blue Jasmine and A Star is Born.
Clay has exercised his humor as the radio host of both Opie and Anthony and Out of the Cage, and has two original podcasts: Rollin’ with Dice and Wheels…The Podcast and I’m Ova Hea’ Now. Additionally, he co-authored his memoir, The Filthy Truth, and ran his own production company.
