Angela Liddon is a Canadian plant-based recipe creator and photographer whose blog, Oh She Glows, has become a worldwide success. It has led to her becoming a New York Times bestselling author and an award-winning app creator. She has a combined audience of more than 700,000 followers across Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. Her 2014 debut cookbook, The Oh She Glows Cookbook, has been reprinted many times and was followed by Oh She Glows Every Day in 2016 and Oh She Glows for Dinner in 2020. The Oh She Glows app won a Webby Award for Best Food and Drink App in 2019 and has been nominated several other times.
Liddon began her blog in the fall of 2008, initially to document her recovery from an eating disorder. The following year, she quit her research job and opened a healthy bakery, and in 2011, she closed that to become a full-time plant-based food blogger and recipe developer. Her writing and her journey struck a chord with people all over the world, especially women, and by 2015, her words were being read by 1 million people every month. Her first cookbook was three years in the making, but it was worth it, as it was translated into numerous languages and became Chapter/Indigo’s Book of the Year.
In 2016, Liddon’s second cookbook became a New York Times bestseller and won a Gold prize at the Taste Canada Awards. Today, she remains a popular and vital presence, especially in the North American plant-based food scene.
