Anton Dahlberg

Anton Dahlberg, an Olympic medalist and world champion sailor from Sweden, established his formidable career specializing in the challenging 470 class two-person dinghy. Demonstrating early talent, Dahlberg achieved 6th place in both the 1999 and 2000 Optimist World Championships, and in 2000, was honored with the Gedda Trophy for Swedish Junior Sailor of the Year by the Swedish Sailing Federation. His progression into the 470 class saw him secure 35th place at the 2007 ISAF Sailing World Championships. Dahlberg made his Olympic debut at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he finished 15th with crew member Sebastian Östling.

The duo continued their partnership for the 2012 London Olympics, securing a 10th-place finish. Following the 2012 London Games, Dahlberg formed a pivotal new partnership with Fredrik Bergström, a former 470 Junior World Champion. This collaboration quickly yielded results, including a silver medal at the 2014 Trofeo Princesa Sofía. The pair competed at the 2016 Rio Olympics, achieving a strong 6th-place finish.

This new pairing quickly established dominance, winning the 2022 Semaine Olympique Française in Hyères. They further solidified their position by securing the 470 European Championships title in Çe?me, Turkey, in September 2022. Their consistent performance continued into the following year, as they successfully defended their European title in Sanremo in May 2023. Their dedicated efforts and proven expertise culminated in a prestigious Olympic bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics in Marseille.

Throughout his distinguished career, Anton Dahlberg has been coached by acclaimed professionals Per Frykholm and Viktor Bergström, and proudly represents the esteemed Royal Swedish Yacht Club. He stands as a five-time Olympian, consistently demonstrating elite performance and championship-level skill on the international sailing stage.
