Rebecca Quin, commonly known by her ring name Becky Lynch, is a fiery and tenacious professional wrestler hailing from Ireland. Born on January 30th, 1987, in Limerick, Ireland, Rebecca grew up with a love for sports and athletics from a young age. However, her affinity for wrestling didn’t come until later in her life.
After graduating from college with a degree in acting, Rebecca began training in professional wrestling under the tutelage of Paul Tracey, also known as “The Freebird” in Dublin, Ireland. She honed her craft over the years and eventually made her professional debut in 2002 under the name Rebecca Knox, quickly making a name for herself in the European and independent wrestling circuits.
In 2013, Rebecca was scouted by WWE and signed to their developmental territory, NXT. She quickly adapted to the WWE style and impressed audiences with her explosive in-ring skills and captivating personality. After a brief hiatus in 2016 due to injury, Rebecca returned with a new persona, Becky Lynch, and an edge that charmed and intimidated fans.
Becky has gone on to become one of the most popular female wrestlers in WWE history, earning numerous accolades and championship titles, including being the first woman to headline a WrestleMania in 2019. Her passionate and dedicated fanbase, known as the “Lynch Mob,” has helped cement her as a trailblazer for women’s wrestling and an inspiration to young girls all over the world.
Off-camera, Rebecca is also an advocate for animal rights, promoting veganism and supporting animal rescue organizations. Through her hard work and commitment to her craft, both inside and outside the ring, Rebecca Quin, a.k.a. Becky Lynch, has established herself as not only a force to be reckoned with in the world of wrestling but also a role model to many.
