Bob Menery

Known to his fans as ‘the man with the golden voice’, Bob Menery is an Instagram star and comedian who gained notoriety after the public discovered that he has a voice similar to that of a sportscaster.

Menery has overcome personal problems to acheive his success. At age 23, he enrolled in the New York Film School after deciding he wanted to be an actor and comedian. He then travelled to Los Angeles, California, in an effort to launch a career in acting. He began partying while he was in Los Angeles and lost focus. During this period, he became a golf caddy, which he cited as one of his favourite jobs. While working as a caddy, Menery kept finding himself in situations where he was aware of the competitive advantage his voice afforded him, but was unable to capitalise on it. He eventually felt discouraged, and turned to cocaine.

When Menery realised he had overdrawn his bank account by $700 and had nowhere to live, he hopped in his car and started driving. He continued driving until he came upon a pleasant area, parked, and slept the night there. He spent the following three months sleeping in his car. Menery’s fortunes finally started to turn around when rapper Mike Constantino invited him to appear in his music video. Going viral was the catalyst for everything Menery went on to acheive, including serving as the voice of Buffalo Wild Wings, working with celebrities, and amassing 2.7 million Instagram followers.
