His collegiate basketball career was curtailed by injury, however, and he returned to Fontana. Shortly afterwards, he was invited to take part in a photoshoot. His true calling recognised, he’d soon been signed up by several agencies across the world. In 2011, he appeared as the love interest in the video for ‘Warzone’ a single by British band The Wanted that was a hit in the UK and Ireland. The following year, he played a similar role in the video for Ciara’s ‘Sorry’, which became a top-ten US dance hit.
In 2017, Hunter made his TV acting debut with a guest role in Insecure, an HBO comedy-drama that was named by the American Film Institute as one of the year’s best shows. He followed this in 2018 with roles in sitcoms Rel and Marlon.
