Brooke Berry

Brooke Berry, a graphic designer from London, participated in Big Brother 2018 at the age of 20. Her life prior to the show was marked by a nomadic lifestyle, having lived in various locations across the UK, as well as in the French Alps, Cyprus, and Ibiza. Over five years, she moved house approximately 20 times, fostering a perspective she describes as nomadic. Berry’s entry into the Big Brother house was partly motivated by her desire to represent lesbian women, aiming to promote open discussions about diverse lifestyles for young audiences. She saw her participation in the show as a social experiment, valuing the opportunity to interact with individuals from different backgrounds without reliance on digital communication, prioritizing genuine human interaction. She also expressed that winning the competition was not her primary goal.

Beyond her television appearance, Berry is a blogger who explores the values of Buddhism. She presents a modern and secular interpretation of these principles in her writing. During her time on Big Brother, Berry was noted for her ability to engage in debates and articulate her opinions. She stated that she found materialistic and closed-minded individuals challenging to connect with, aligning with her self-described “hippie outlook on life.” Her participation in Big Brother allowed her to bring a “young, dynamic, millennial spin” to discussions within the house, demonstrating her capacity for thoughtful conversation and her skill in dealing with strong emotions in others.
