Camilla Sacre-Dallerup is a best-selling Danish author, life coach, hypnotherapist, former professional ballroom dancer and model. She is best known to a wide audience for her appearances on the BBC’s dance competition, Strictly Come Dancing, on which she appeared as a professional dancer in the first six series and won in 2008. She has since gone on to judge the live touring version of the show, as well as the New Zealand adaptation, Dancing With The Stars. She also co-hosted the CBBC show Dance Factory.
Dallerup began her dance career as a child, winning the Danish Junior Championships at the age of 12. She later moved to the United Kingdom, and in 2003 she placed third in Latin American at the UK Closed Championships, and in the top 12 of the world professionals at the Open British Championships. In 2004 she reached the semi-final of the International Championships at the Royal Albert Hall, and then placed second for Latin American at the 2005 UK Closed Championships. She represented the UK in the inaugural Eurovision Dance Contest 2007.
Since finishing her career as a dancer, Dallerup has found work on British television, appearing on shows such as I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, Bill Bailey’s Birdwatching Bonanza and Pointless Celebrities. She has worked as model, starring as the face and legs for Aristoc stockings in 2006, and has acted in a range of pantomimes and theatre shows. In recent years, Dallerup has founded her own coaching and mindful living business Zenme, based in Los Angeles, and has authored two self-help books, ’Strictly Inspirational’ and ‘Reinvent Me’.
